The man with no shadow by Makoto Tojiki

The title of this piece reminds me of either an epic novel, a comic strip hero or a David Bowie song title. This life-sized man is made up of hundreds of strategically placed LEDs hanging from strings.

Although cool as it is, this would be even cooler if it could move and respond to external stimuli (like the random hologram of Will i am that appeared during the last election.)

Threshold by Allison Urban

The installation consists of two wooden cold cathode-back-lit geometric structures that form a path in between them. Designed to invoke a sense of curiosity as to the source of the light. Simple but beautiful (and a little sci-fi as well).
